Apache APISIX version support lifecycle and release cadence.
This page describes the Apache APISIX release and support model used by this documentation set.
Current release
This documentation corresponds to Apache APISIX 3.18.0. It is the version the examples and references are tested against.
Supported versions

Release cadence
- Major releases may introduce architectural changes.
- Minor releases bring new features and are typically backward compatible.
- Patch releases contain bug fixes and security patches.
Upgrading
- Review the upgrade guides before upgrading.
- Test plugins, routes, and configurations in a non-production environment first.
